Design Method of Bearingless Permanent Magnet Slice Motor for Maglev Centrifugal Pump Based on Performance Metric Cluster

Different from ordinary AC machines, the design of a bearingless permanent magnet slice motor (BPMSM) considers not only torque performance, but also passive and active suspension properties. In addition, BPMSM for maglev centrifugal pump has unique characteristics due to integration head sensors. This paper investigates evaluation techniques based on cluster performance metrics targeting developing pump. The BPMSM, including stiffness (kz, kz/kx, kz/ky, k?, k?) factors (ki cm), is first proposed an function fiSi,Li constructed. Then, practical configurations are summarized. Based metrics, finite-element method (FEM) used explore impact rotor magnetization (sinusoidal, diametric, radial method) Subsequently, complete process introduced key differences (including three crucial geometric parameters: ratio height diameter ?, magnetic gap length ?, stator tooth width ?st) in considerations between general motors analyzed. Finally, upgraded k?, ki, cm, increased by about 29%, 38%, 33%, 31%, 21%, 15%, respectively) designed candidate obtained, which verifies effectiveness methods.
